Veldacademie is a research workplace and knowledge platform focusing on the integral development of neighborhoods. Through action research and by using customized methods, our in-depth and mainly qualitative research sheds light on the experiences and needs of the inhabitants of cities, in relation to regional developments. I develop, lead and carry out research projects, in collaboration with many partners.

Artistic Researcher

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

2020-2022

While working at the Philosophy department, I got the liberty to create my own project within the project "Epistemic Progress in the University". It focused on making philosophical research more tangible by researching ways in which philosophers could work with artists and vice versa. This happened in collaboration with art space Bureau Postjesweg.

Van Eesteren Museum

2017-2019

Starting off as volunteer, as I stumbled upon this museum next door, I worked as the head of program at the Van Eesteren Museum. The museum, located at the Sloterplas in Amsterdam focusses on the legacy and the ongoing relevance of the work of architect Cornelis van Eesteren, who designed Amsterdam Nieuw-West along the principles of 'light, air and space'.

Museum om de Hoek

2017-2018

Museum om de Hoek is a collective consisting of various (at the time 8) small museum and museum initiatives in Amsterdam. It aims to share knowledge and know-how between its organisations.
I have represented the Van Eesteren Museum in the collective and later developed its first website and co-managed the celebration of the birthday of Amsterdam in all museums.

Freelance

2015-2016

At the end of my studies I noticed the lack of affordable ateliers (and consequently exhibition spaces) in Amsterdam. I wanted to positively influence this situation. Through my network I got assigned various vacant buildings in central Amsterdam, for which I selected the artists and operated as contact person for both the artists and vacant property managers.
